Dublin, Ireland Jan 5-More snow has continued to hit parts of England and all of Wales – with the weather forcing Liverpool, Manchester Liverpool, and Birmingham airports to close their runways.
The situation caused by heavy snow has caused diversions, delays, and cancellations of flights. Sources indicate Manchester Airport closed the runway for several hours on Sunday morning and later reopened both runways at around 09:45 GMT.
No planes landed at the airport and all incoming flights were diverted elsewhere.

“Some departures and arrivals may still experience delays as our teams work to de-ice aircraft and clear walkways,”stated Manchester Airport management.
According to the tracking website Flightradar24, at least 12 Manchester-bound planes have had to land at London Heathrow, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, and Paris.
Leeds Bradford Airport’s runway has remained shut however Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s runway has reopened.
As a result of heavy snowfall overnight, Bristol and Birmingham airports temporarily closed their runways. Both have since reopened.
Passengers have been asked to check with their airline for the latest flight information.
An amber Met Office warning has been issued in place for snow and ice, with the risk of freezing rain covering much of Wales and the Midlands as far north as Manchester until midday.
